Dal Tadka




Dal Tadka

Ingredients

·       Toor dhal                         -1 cup
·       Onion                               - 1
·       Garlic pods                      - 5
·       Turmeric powder             - ¼ teaspoon
·       Red chilli flakes               - ½  teaspoon
·       Salt to taste.

For seasoning

·       Oil                                    - 1 table spoon
·       Mustard seeds                - ½ teaspoon
·       Cumin seeds                   - ½ teaspoon
·       Broken red chillies           - 3
·       Curry leaves                    - few


Method

·       Wash the toor dhal add water, ½ teaspoon of oil, turmeric powder cook it using kadai.
·       When the toor dal ¾ cooked add chopped onion, garlic & chillie flakes let it cook till toor dal get soft. add salt now.
·       Mash it lightly.
·       Heat the kadai with 2 table spoon of oil, add seasoning ingredients one by one. Let the mustard seeds splutter.
·       Add it to the cooked dhal, switch off the stove. Transfer to the serving bowl.
·       Now the Dal tadka is ready to serve.
·       Serve it with white rice with ghee and avakaai pickle or any kind of curry.
·       This dal tadka can serve with chappathi, poori.
