Stir Fry Cabbage(Cabbage Palya)

Ingredients

·       Cabbage                                     - 1 small
·       Onion                                         - 1
·       Green chillies                             -2
·       Garlic pods                                - 5
·       Ginger                                       - small piece
·       Fresh Grated coconut                  - ¼ cup
·       Turmeric powder                        - ¼ teaspoon
·       Coriander leaves for garnishing.
·       Salt to taste

For seasoning

·       Oil                       - 2 table spoon
·       Mustard seeds      - ½ teaspoon
·       Urad dhal             - ½ teaspoon
·       Curry leaves        - few

Method

·   Shred the cabbage into small pieces
·   Finely cut the onions, green chillies & Ginger.
·   Crush the garlic and keep aside
·   Heat the kadai with 2 table spoon of oil add mustard seeds & urad dhal let the mustard seeds splutter - add Ginger, crushed garlic, onions, green chillies stir it for a minute.
·  Add shredded cabbage, turmeric powder & salt - mix it well and close the lid let it cook for 5 minutes.
·  Open the lid & finally add grated fresh coconut and stir it well & switch off the stove.
·  Transfer this stir fry cabbage into a serving bowl & Garnishing with coriander leaves.
·  This stir fry cabbage goes well with plain white rice or sambar rice.
