Potato Masal






Potato Masal

Ingredients

·      Potato                      -  ½ kg
·      Big onion                  - 1
·      Green chillies           - 4
·      Turmeric powder     - ¼ teaspoon
·      Besan flour               - 1 table spoon
·      Finely chopped coriander leaves
·      Salt to taste


For seasoning

·      Oil                      - 2tablespoon
·      Mustard seeds     - ½ teaspoon
·      Channa dhal        - 1 teaspoon
·      Urad dhal            -1/2 teaspoon
·      Cloves                - 3 nos
·      Curry leaves       -  few


Method

·  Boil the potatoes & peel cut into big pieces.
·  Cut onion & chillies into length wise.
·  Mix the besan flour in ¼ cup of water without lumps & keep aside.
·  Heat the kadai with oil add all the above seasonings, Let the mustard seeds splutter add onions, green chillies & turmeric powder let it cook for a minute.
·  Add potato pieces, mixed besan flour & salt. Cook it for 5 minutes.
·  Transfer to the serving bowl garnish with coriander leaves.
·  Now the potato masal is ready to serve with Chapathi or Poori.
