Rava kichadi






Rava kichadi

Ingredients

·      Bombay rava            - 2 cups
·      Big Onion                - 1
·      green chillies            - 5
·      Tomato                    - 1
·      Ginger                     - 1 teaspoon
·      Garlic                     - 1 teaspoon
·      Mixed vegetables    - ½ cup
·      Turmeric powder    - ¼ teaspoon
·      Pudina                   - few
·      Coriander leaves    - for garnishing
·      Lemon juice           - 1 table spoon
·      Salt to taste.
  
For seasoning

·      Ghee                   - 2 table spoon
·      Oil                      - 5 table spoon
·      Cinnamon stick    - ½ inch
·      Cloves                - 3 to 4
·      Bay leaves          - 2
·      Curry leaves        - few
·      Mustard seeds     - ½ teaspoon
·      Channa dhal         - 1 teaspoon
·      Urad dhal            - 1 teaspoon
·      Cashew               - few


Method

· Fry the rava add 1 table spoon of ghee till rave gets light golden colour & keep aside.
·  Cut onion, tomato & green chillies into lengthwise.
·  Heat the kadai with 5 table spoon of oil add all the above seasonings one by one & fry for a minute.
·  Now add all the above ingredients fry for another 2 minuets till the onion get transparent - add 4 cups of water, remaining ghee, salt.
·  Once the water start to boil add fried rave keep mixing continuously. Cover the kadai with lid cook it for 5 minutes.
·  Open the lid - finally add lemon juice -  mix it well transfer to the serving bowl & garnish with coriander leaves.
·  Now the tasty rava kichadi is ready to serve. Serve it with coconut chutney/pickle.
